What to Expect

As you arrive, you will be greeted at the front door with a handshake and a smile. After entering the fellowship center, be sure to stop by our information booth and grab a bulletin and any of the other materials you find interesting.  Feel free to sit anywhere you'd like. Don't worry about 'taking someone's seat.' No assigned seats here!

Our service begins with a few announcements and a word of prayer. Our band then leads worship music with a mix of contemporary songs and traditional hymns.  Most people stand during this time, however, if you prefer to sit, that is fine too. All of the song lyrics are projected onto a screen at the front of the church, so you can sing along if you wish.

You will never be asked to stand or raise your hand just because you’re new. You will never have to recite anything or kneel at certain times during the service. We would never want you to be uncomfortable in any way.

Unlike churches you may have been to in the past, we bring our gifts and offerings to the Lord in a slightly different way. Instead of passing the offering plate through the congregation, we have placed offering boxes near the doors of the fellowship center where offerings can placed before or after the service.  We also have online and mobile giving available if that is a prefernce.

At Oak Grove, we do partake in the Communion during our worship service. We welcome all who are willing to forsake their sin and trust in Jesus alone for salvation to receive Communion. If you are not able to receive Communion, please use this time to reflect on the fact that the Eternal Son of God left heaven to die on the cross to deliver you from your sin. (Matthew 1:21)

We close our service with a final worship song that often times ties directly into the message so you can reflect on what you just heard.

We hope you'll join us to see for yourself what we're all about!
